TAST update ~ week 28

It has been a while since I took a photo or posted an update on my TAST (Take a Stitch Tuesday) status.  We are now half-way, at week 28, since we've taken two weeks off as catch-up weeks.  I've managed to at least try all the stitches on my mini sampler, but haven't had much stitching time other than that lately.  I ran out of room on my first little sampler and have started a second one.  (If you click on the images below you can see a larger image.)

Sampler one includes: 1) fly stitch, 2) buttonhole, 3) feather, 4) cretan, 5) herringbone, 6) chevron, 7) detached chain (AKA lazy daisy), 8) chain, 9) couching, 10) running stitch, 11) whipped wheel (AKA ribbed spider web), 12) barred chain + alternating barred chain stitch, 13) there was no stitch this week, 14) satin stitch, 15) stem stitch, 16) French knot, 17) wheatear, 18) crossed buttonhole, 19) half chevron, 20) bullion, and 21) butterfly chain.

Sampler two is underway with: 22) knotted cretan, 23) there was no stitch this week, 24) buttonhole wheel, 25) cable chain, 26) Palestrina (AKA Double knot), 27) bonnet stitch, 28) up and down buttonhole (AKA mirror buttonhole).

Bonnet stitch might have been the hardest for me to get the hang of.  It is the light green thread, upper right.  The latest stitch, up and down buttonhole, was fun and easy to do.  It is on the upper left.

  2. Luke... Missing you. (On FB and otherwise.) Happy belated birthday. The embroidery challenge has been a good exercise. More fodder in the creative cauldron!
